New MM album "HONKY TONK DREAMS".....NOW AVAILABLE !!

Honky Tonk Dreams
Country blues rocker Mike McCarroll knocks it out of the park with his second album Honky Tonk Dreams.
While many artists struggle to top their debut albums, Mike McCarroll takes it to the next level with this one. His popular 2007 album, At The Crossroads garnered lots of attention in Nashville with kicking, rug-cutting party tunes like Saturday Night, House of Blues, Get It On, and At The Crossroads.
Now, in his follow-up album, the artist further refines his songwriting and signature sound with a hot collection of outlaw country songs about drinking, playing the honky tonks, trying to make it in Nashville, and the pain of lost love. Honky Tonk Dreams features blistering guitar lines by Travis Tritt lead guitarist Wendell Cox and former ATLANTA lead guitarist Jody Worrell. Former Travis Tritt drummer David Northrup adds a heavy dose of butt-kicking thump while Sara Evans/Pam Tillis fiddle player Bethany Olds-Dick glues it all together with some of the best fiddle you’ve ever heard.
While most of the songs were written by the artist, he did include a few songs by some popular Nashville writers such as Kim Williams (Three Wooden Crosses – Randy Travis and Ain’t Goin’ Down Til The Sun Comes Up – Garth Brooks).
Fan-tested favorites already include the fast growing Americana underground hit “Cash Crop”, the uptempo rocker “Waiting On The Whiskey To Work”, the guitar/dobro country rock sing-a-long Waitin’, a cool traditional country drinking song titled “Merle Haggard, Jack Daniels & Me, and the humorous talking song “Pop Style Cookie-Cutter Formula Country Song.
Mike says “This is not one of those albums where you only have one or two good songs. You will LOVE every song on this album…that’s a promise and I guarantee it.

At The Crossroads
Mike McCarroll's 2007 debut album "At The Crossroads" reflects his analogy of music as a roadway with distinct intersections of genres. Country intersects with rock, rock intersects with blues, blues intersects with country, etc.
"There are intersecting points where one genre is almost indistinguishable from another" he says. "For example, rock is often mixed with country to the degree you have to wonder is it rock or is it country? As a songwriter, I try to write in a variety of those intersections. Different people like different things. While I am basically a country music artist, I hope my music provides a little something for everybody".
His music has been described as "kickin' country" "very authentic", connected to current times, and soulful. Mike's major influences include Waylon Jennings, Travis Tritt, Steve Earle, Alan Jackson, Chris Knight, John Mellencamp, Ray Scott, Montgomery Gentry and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The album features several top-notch session artists that include:
§ Jody Worrell (formerly of 80's gold album selling country band Atlanta) who provides outstanding slide guitar.
§ 2003 Grammy Award winning Texas fiddle player, Bobby Flores.
§ The great Tommy Detamore, on pedal steel. Tommy has played and recorded with numerous major artists and is considered one of the best pedal steel players in the world.
